Youngstown Phantoms Ice Hockey Games

The Youngstown Phantoms play in the highest-ranked junior ice hockey league in the country. Over the years, they've earned a strong reputation for nurturing young talent, with over 150 players advancing to National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1 schools and 29 players reaching the National Hockey League (NHL). Some notable NHL players who sharpened their skills as teenagers playing for the Youngstown Phantoms include Brett Murray of the Buffalo Sabres and Nathan Walker of the St. Louis Blues.

Amateur Wrestling Championships

The Covelli Centre is also host to the 2025 Ohio Grade School Wrestling State Championships. Despite only being 25 years old, Warren Zeiders already has four country studio albums to his name. His catalog includes a wide variety of original compositions and covers. His latest album, “Relapse, Lies, & Betrayal,” is supported by a tour starting in September this year. The show will reach Covelli Centre on Nov. 21.

You can find the Covelli Centre at 229 E. Front Street in Youngstown, Ohio, very close to Austintown. Its seating capacity varies depending on the event, with hockey and basketball games accommodating almost 6,000 people and concerts having as many as 7,000 available seats. Its dedicated staff of permanent and seasonal employees do a wonderful job in preparing the venue for various events, transforming it from a hockey rink to a concert venue in about six hours. There are multiple parking locations around the venue, including spaces for vehicles requiring disabled access.

Bag Policy and Security Measures

For security reasons, only clear, see-through bags are allowed inside the Covelli Centre. Strictly prohibited items include any type of bottle or can, weapons, laser pointers, horns, outside food and drinks, and professional recording devices. Some of the things you can take with you include diaper bags, binoculars, and banners and signs, as long as they've been approved by the security staff. Other Essential Policies

Guests are expected to treat other attendees and staff with respect. Smoking or the use of illegal substances is prohibited, but a smoking area is available right outside.
